Represented the defendant in a multi handed conspiracy to facilitate unlawful immigration involving a wide international element. After successful negotiations, SA was spared a prison sentence, although the maximum sentence for assisting unlawful immigration, contrary to section 25(1) of the Immigration Act 1971, is 14 years’ imprisonment.
